We learn about who you were as a person, and create a very tasteful bronze plaque, summarizing you and your character and what people can expect when visiting your home.

Listed as a vacation getaway, people from around the world will have an opportunity to visit and stay in your home and see what it was like to live in your little corner of the earth.

The money received from people's stays at your home is what will help to cover expenses in maintaining your home and property and goes to any ongoing maintenance and repairs it may need. Any further profits go to the company so that we can operate from a solid foundation through high and low tourist seasons.

Not only will your essence, memory, and home be preserved, you will also be giving good natured people a chance to rebuild themselves financially. When your home comes into Karmic Legacies, we look for someone to become a Personal Steward of your Legacy. This Steward will occupy a room or suite in your home rent-free in exchange for taking care of the home and property and ensuring personal touches unique to the home stay preserved. We select Stewards based on their character and dedication to the task, as well as needing a break financially to re-build themselves.

Most people at some point in their lives, for numerous reasons, go through a period where they need to rebuild themselves financially. We offer people a break in life to do this while living rent-free, so long as they are dedicated to the maintenance of your Legacy as well as dedicated to truly rebuilding themselves and moving forward. Both will be reviewed regularly to ensure quality and progress.

Stewards will be given a specific time-frame dependent on their specific circumstance, usually a year but could be longer. The goal is to give them enough time to truly rebuild, set good financial practices, and send them off again with the foundation for success in their life moving forward.

Being a charity may sound good in theory, but it often involves delays, politics, and dependence on outside donations.

Our structure allows us to stay financially stable, make important decisions without waiting on a board, and stay fully focused on honoring the wishes of those who trust us. We chose flexibility and long-term responsibility over tax receipts and red tape.

You can still support Karmic Legacies and donate to a charity of your choosing for a tax receipt. This can be done in your will for whatever charity you choose.
